ONLINE INFORMAL REVIEW FORM


The Assessor is currently accepting Informal Review requests for the 2024 tax year. An Informal Review is not an appeal. You must have a valid email address to initiate an online informal review. If you do not have an email address or have any questions regarding this information or the 2024 Informal Review process, please use the Assessor chat function, contact our office at 901-222-7001 or by email.

Helpful Documentation for the Informal Review

To assist in the Informal Review process, property owners should submit documentation that supports their opinion of value of the property in question. Examples of such documentation include:

  • Prior year sales, within two to three years, of similar properties in the immediate area of the property requiring an Informal Review.
  • For Commercial and Industrial properties, income and expense information over the past three years.
  • A recent private appraisal.
  • Photos of the property showing its exterior and interior condition.
  • Any other information you believe will assist our appraisers in analyzing the property’s market value.

  1. Describe your questions/concerns as clearly and concisely as possible in the "Owner's Request" field.
  2. You may optionally attach as many as 2 files to this online review.
  3. Click the "Send Request" button when finished.
  4. Print out the online receipt or write down your confirmation number. This will serve as verification of your contact with the Assessor's Action Center.

This online Informal Review form is NOT an appeal to the Board of Equalization. It is a request for the Assessor to review your property appraisal and assessment for the 2024 tax year. The information you provide will assist our appraisal staff in ensuring the accuracy of your property's characteristics and evaluating your property’s market value for the 2024 tax year. You will be notified by mail of the outcome of your Informal Review.
